Personal Demo Reel

Welcome to my audio engineering demo reel! This collection highlights my work in music production, mixing, and sound design. You’ll hear a variety of projects, from personal songs/royalty-free music I’ve mixed, to immersive soundscapes and effects that tell stories without visuals like an "audible movie."

My goal is to bring every piece to life through expert mixing, seamless editing, and a deep understanding of how sound enhances the listener's experience.

Take a listen, explore, and feel free to reach out if you’d like to collaborate or learn more!

The Night We Met (Cover) – Vocal Recording, Production, Mixing, and Mastering Showcase

To start off, I’ve included a small clip of my cover of The Night We Met. It’s a personal project where I recorded my vocals, produced the track, and took care of all the editing, mixing, and mastering myself.

I wanted to show off my skills in both performance and production, with a focus on the little details that make the final mix come together.

I’m planning to release it online as a cover soon to honor the original artist, and it’s a perfect example of how I can take a song from start to finish.

Johnny Fantom: A Fictional Kids' TV Show Intro (Production, Mixing, and Editing Showcase)

00:00 / 00:51

One of the highlights in my demo reel is a made-up TV show intro for a fictional kids' series called Johnny Fantom.

I had a lot of fun creating the music, focusing on a playful and energetic vibe with catchy melodies and bright instrumentation similar of early 2000s cartoons.

Beyond composing, I worked on the mixing and editing to make sure every element came together smoothly, giving it that polished, professional sound you'd expect from a real cartoon intro.

Liminal Leaks

This compilation of short horror Blender animations, showcased in my personal portfolio, feature my original animation created for the soul purpose of sound design practice.

Most sounds were recorded by me while others were royalty free. Everything was edited, and mixed here at Jake Arama Mixes.

All projects are posted online to a satire Instagram account @liminalleaks in chronological order.

Dungeon Encounter: An Audible Story of a Knight and a Monster

One of the pieces I’m really excited about in my demo reel is an audio story I created where a knight walks into a dungeon and encounters a monster asking, "Who goes there?".

I recorded a lot of the sound effects at home, from the echo of the knight’s footsteps to the growl of the monster, with some extra FX taken royalty-free. Then, I took all the sounds and brought them to life with some careful editing and mixing to make the whole scene feel real.

It’s like a little story you can experience just by listening, just close your eyes and it will come to life.
